Key Information

Venue: The venue will be the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology (http://english.siat.cas.cn/) (Official address: 1068, University City Xueyuan Avenue, Nanshan, Shenzhen, Guangdong, PRC)

Accommodation: There are several hotels within walking distance to the Institute and others a short taxi ride away. At the moment we are looking at the costs of providing buses from key hotels to the venue each day. After you register we will send a list of hotels you can choose from.

Climate / Weather: In October we anticipate average daytime temperatures to be from the mid to high 20’s to low 30’s °C (77 to 90 °F). It is after the rainy season but there is still a chance of rain. Night time temperatures are unlikely to fall below 20 °C (68 °F). Shenzhen is in the tropics. Pack suncream. Getting to Shenzhen: It is possible to fly direct to Shenzhen from several international locations. Guangzhou is a 2 hour taxi ride away. In addition, Shenzhen is well connected by high speed rail and air to all major transit hubs within China like Beijing and Shanghai. Hong Kong airport is 1 hour away across the bay and accessible via taxi, bus, metro or rail.

Language: The official conference language will be English. Simultaneous translation between Chinese and English will be provided.

Short Oral Communications and Posters
We have capacity for 17 short talks and 60 poster presentations.
Abstract submission deadline for these will be 30th June 2025 with decisions made by Mid-July. There will be monetary prizes for the best talks and posters. Please indicate when you register if you wish to be included in the mailing list for abstract submissions.
